Driven by award-winning photographers, Hans van Rhoon and David Adams, COMPOSITE Gallery, the COMPOSITE photo project, provides a fascinating insight into the lives of European police officers. In a two-year project that will take them to locations across Europe, David and Hans will photograph police officers in the course of their daily lives, capturing the similarities and differences of police work in 10 European countries.
In his Portrait series, David Adams studies the public and private lives of police officers, depicting the official face of the police, uniformed and ready for action, alongside the more personal images of officers engaged in their favourite pastimes and pursuits.
Drawing upon his background as a travel photographer, Hans van Rhoon specializes in the art of documentary photography, objectively and faithfully conveying the lives of police officers in a series of photographic narratives.
Early stages of the project have seen David and Hans in Germany and the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Belgium depicting officers within their communities, at work and at home.
