On the 19th and 20th of February 2013 the 16th European Police Congress, the leading conference for internal security in the European Union, was hosted at the Berlin Congress Centre (Germany) and was organised by the Behörden Spiegel, a nationwide published journal for the public service in Germany. This two days congress dealt with the topic "Safety and Security in Cyberspace" emphasising "Police in social networks", "ePolice" and "Equipment and armament".
Dr Sebastian Denef, COMPOSITE's Work Package Leader 4 from the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT), hold an initial lecture on "Activities of European Police Forces in Social Networks" on February 19th. In this presentation Sebastian Denef highlighted the COMPOSITE results on "Best Practice in Police Social Media Adaption".

During these two days of the conference, the German COMPOSITE-team of the University of Applied Sciences of the State Police of Brandenburg (FHPol BB) runs an exhibition stand at the second floor of the Congress Centre to inform about COMPOSITE. Booklets with COMPOSITE results and general information about the COMPOSITE project could be distributed to an interested police related audience.
